Signal provided the solution to allow this Network Rail department to easily manage their employee roster against their fleet of machines whilst automatically calculating travel time and fatigue. Shifts can be imported from the project plan, swiftly filled, whilst updating the worker automatically. Once the shifts are completed a digital timesheet solution automates much of the timesheet to payroll process.
Task Code Management
Signal built a new 'Task Code' management module into their standard product to allow task codes to be assigned to the project hierarchy and employee types (contractors or permanent staff). The employee may choose the Task Code that they have worked on from an automatically generated list of options when completing the digital timesheet process.

Extended the Signal contract builder to allow even more granular employee conditions to be maintained.
Enhanced Automatic S30 Shift Import & S30 Export
Allowing CRSA to import shifts on mass from their S30 reports. We added a new 'Quantity' option for them to add additional quantities of resource to the roster in a single click.
CRSA required an easy way to export all shifts on a given week into an 'S30 Report' which is distributed to various Depots.
Signal's advanced competency management module allows competencies to be taken from Sentinel or custom competencies to be created with dependencies and individual fatigue rules. CRSA adopted Signal as their competency management system of choice allowing them to operate their workforce management, roster, fatigue, timesheet and reporting from a single system.
