The competencies a worker has can be live updated from any training programmes that they have undertaken. Signal also issues automatic notifications and reminders to workers to alert on any competency issues.

Signal handles a huge deal of complexity to cover competencies from track workers, station cleaning staff and site management. Signal supports linked competencies to ensure that if a given competency relies on another, the worker will be required to have it. Various pay schemes can be applied to each competency or worker to calculate true cost.

Digital Badges

Signal also provides digital badges for each worker replacing the need to print a competency card each time the data was updated. A card with a unique QR code is generated by Signal and distributed to the worker. Site managers can then use the scanning app to quickly check a worker’s competencies and clearly see any expired tickets or medical check information.
